Dental facilities that operate dental CT scanners must now obtain a Dental CT Scanner Facility Permit from PEIDC. Applications are now available, with permits subject to annual renewal.
The PEI Dental College has introduced a new Dental CT Scanner Facility Permit for dental facilities employing qualified dentists who operate dental CT scanners.
Two permit types are available, depending on the scanner's field of view and intended use. Facilities may apply for one or both permit types.
Applications must be submitted by a designated principal applicant who practises at the facility and has completed the appropriate training for the CT scanner being used.
The annual application fee is $250 per permit type, and all permits must be renewed annually as part of the registration renewal process.
